When I started Artful Chefs, I was seeking talented chefs who could help me raise the bar on flavor and presentation. I believe that food is art, and that a great meal creates lasting joyful memories. I now have the tremendous pleasure and honor of working with amazingly gifted chefs who share my vision. Between us, we have 75 years of experience and talent in the kitchen, and many of our chefs have even trained under world-renowned culinary masters in Europe!
For every event, we create a custom menu. We believe that great food begins with top-shelf ingredients, so we purchase our food locally and use seasonal produce whenever possible. We’re not just another San Diego catering company that reheats pre-prepared food. Everything is prepared and served fresh at your event!
In short, our goal is to create a meal that’s so delicious and beautifully presented it will be savored as a work of art. The meal may last an hour, but the memories will last forever!

Chef Pharrell
San Diego, CA
Executive Chef Pharrell Worthylake is the owner of Artful Chefs. During her career, she has served professional athletes, executives, and celebrities throughout San Diego and Orange County. Chef Pharrell grew up in Rancho Santa Fe, and has spent most of her life immersed in different cultures, foods, flavors, and techniques. After graduating from Horst Mager Culinary Institute (now known as Cordon Bleu) in Portland, she completed her apprenticeship under Chef Scott Anelsm at The Couch Street Fish House and decided to return home to her beloved San Diego.
With a vision of providing world-class catering to exclusive clients throughout San Diego, Chef Pharrell gathered talented local professionals to join her team and create an unrivaled culinary experience for her clients. Thus Artful Chefs was born, and with it began a career path serving executives from companies like Miller/Coors, Hewlett Packard, Sysco Foods, Intel, and Camp Pendleton Marine Base. With a passion for cooking as well as teaching, Chef Pharrell has grown Artful Chefs into San Diego’s premiere 5-star chef services solution for catering, team building events, kids birthday parties, adult cooking classes, personal chef services, and more!
Chef Rosalind

Chef Rosalind is a native San Diegan. She has been a personal chef and instructor for over 15 years. Her strong passion for cooking has brought her experience in many different cuisines. Clients can relax and rest assured that they are in good hands if Chef Rosalind is in the kitchen!
Chef Lori
San Diego, CA
Chef Lori has been teaching Kids classes and camps since 2008. She is also involved with teaching English/Cooking classes to adult refugee students in City Heights. She joined Artful Chefs in 2015 to focus on our Jr. Chef Program. Her passion is to introduce kids to the joy of cooking so they can create delicious recipes.
Chef Rudy
San Diego, CA
Chef Rudy was raised in a family of restaurateurs and he has owned two restaurants. He is an expert instructor at a local culinary school in San Diego and began his culinary journey with 12 years of culinary training in Southern Germany.
